Spinless fermions on a honeycomb lattice: from quantum criticality to topological superconductors

Lei Wang
ETHZ

In the first part of the talk, I will talk about a recent advance in the quantum Monte Carlo method which enables us to study correlated spinless fermions without any sign problem. As a prototype example, I will discuss results about a fermonic quantum critical point and compare them with field theory and tensor network calculations. In the second part of the talk, I will switch to the topological superconducting aspect of the same model and present an interesting ground state phase diagram.
